Acceptable Use Policy

This policy applies to CompanyProof accounts, API credentials, verification, monitoring, webhooks and demonstrations. It supplements the Service Terms and any signed order.

Use the service lawfully

You may use CompanyProof only for lawful business purposes and in accordance with your documented permissions. You must not use it to violate privacy, data-protection, sanctions, export-control, anti-discrimination or other applicable law.

Protect access

Keep credentials server-side, restrict them to authorised personnel and revoke a key when it is exposed or no longer required. You must not share an account or API key outside the organisation and use stated in your order.

Do not abuse data or infrastructure

You must not bypass rate or usage limits; scrape the website; probe non-public endpoints; introduce malware; interfere with monitoring or billing records; attempt unauthorised access; or use CompanyProof to scan internal, metadata or third-party systems. Automated traffic must use the documented API.

Respect data rights

Verification output, source evidence and CompanyProof content may be used only within the rights expressly granted to you. Redistribution, resale, bulk extraction, model training, public republishing and creation of competing datasets require written permission.

Human and regulated decisions

CompanyProof evidence may support a workflow, but it must not be treated as the sole basis for a decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects on an individual. Customers remain responsible for review policies, notices, appeals and required human oversight.

Enforcement

We may rate-limit, suspend or terminate access reasonably believed to create security, legal, availability or data-rights risk. Where practical, we will notify the account owner and allow remediation. Urgent protective action may be taken without advance notice.
