Privacy notice

CompanyProof is operated by Global Data Intelligence Limited. This notice explains how we handle information submitted through this site and the CompanyProof service.

Information we process

We may process business contact details, authenticated account identity, subscription status, support messages, API request metadata, and company assertions submitted for verification. Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe; we do not receive full card numbers.

How we use it

We use this information to provide and secure the service, process subscriptions, manage account onboarding and support in HubSpot, route enquiries to HubSpot, improve verification quality, and meet legal obligations. Company assertions may be compared with company-intelligence records and official registry sources.

Analytics choices

CompanyProof uses a strictly necessary first-party cookie to remember when an anonymous browser has completed its one free verification. It is used only to enforce the registration boundary and expires after 12 months. This essential cookie is not used for advertising.

If you accept analytics, CompanyProof stores minimised first-party journey events in its managed database. These records contain an event name, page path without its query string, campaign tags, referrer hostname, limited non-personal event properties and a one-way hash of a random browser-session identifier. They do not contain a name, email address, raw IP address or full referrer URL. First-party event records are retained for up to 180 days.

Configured Google Analytics and HubSpot site analytics also load only after you accept. The essential-only choice leaves account, security, enquiry and payment functions available. Enquiry attribution is attached to a submitted lead only when analytics was already accepted. Changing to essential-only reloads the page so optional scripts are not loaded again.

Sharing and retention

We use service providers for hosting, identity, payments, CRM, security, analytics, and communications. The current technical inventory is listed in our subprocessor register. We retain records only as long as needed for the service, contractual commitments, security, and applicable law. Enterprise retention settings may differ by contract.
