Pin the major contract; tolerate additive fields.
The REST major version is part of the path: /v2. CompanyProof may add optional response fields, new error codes and new MCP tools without changing that version. Removing or renaming a field, changing its type, or making an optional request field required will use a new major path or a documented migration window.
2026-09-08 — added searchable attribute schemas, financial catalogues for company IDs and tickers, ownership structures and 35 company-change indicators. Updated navigation and corrected the profile example to match the provenance schema.
2026-09-02 — documented the payment-to-entitlement claim path and read-only usage preflight, added ticker and geographic search filters, enumerated profile and enrichment fields, and made per-module error, provenance, nullability and officer-data handling explicit.
2026-08-30 — anchored paid usage to Stripe billing periods, added a fixed 72-hour payment grace policy, documented HTTP 402 billing suspension for REST and MCP, and preserved test-fixture access plus dashboard recovery.
2026-08-29 — published search and profile schemas, isolated test keys from live profile services, unified the account-wide REST/MCP rate-limit bucket, added paid advanced-API gates and monthly metering, published a machine-readable OpenAPI contract and documented MCP schemas.
